This is the mystical story that happened between Cat and Tree one night when she went out for a walk, and the Divine message that was bestowed upon her.
One night, Cat went out for a long walk. On her way back home, she smiled when she saw a copse of trees, whom she called both masters and friends.
Cat had noticed sadness in one of the trees on the last occasion when she had made a visit. And so she placed her hand on several trees to see if they were warm and how they were doing.
When Cat came to the second to last tree, she smiled, as this tree was a happy tree. Then she went to see the last tree, which was one of the tallest and strongest.
She placed her hand and noticed that Tree was cold.
"Oh, you're cold!" Cat exclaimed.
Cat noticed that Tree had some outer bark missing. It was very cold over this exposed patch. Tree communicated that because of the virus, no one had come to check up on the trees.
Cat confessed, "I don't know much about trees, but you can take anything I have if it will be helpful--- peace, joy, love, kindness, friendship...."
Tree said nothing and Cat started to walk away, when she suddenly turned around and asked, "Are you sad?"
It was a question that Cat had wondered about, if trees felt other's emotions.
"If I can transform sadness," Cat said, "then you can, too. You're a transformer of energy. You can't be sad," Cat continued. "You're enlightened! Don't you know you're enlightened?"
Tree said nothing, as enlightenment cannot know itself.
Cat said, "I know I'm enlightened like you, only that I have a small veil covering my eyes."
Then Cat felt Tree's energy under her feet, felt the energy rising along her back and up over body; then from her feet to Tree's roots, and all the way up the energy went to the top of Tree.
Cat felt embraced, like a circle of energy was there between her and Tree, a cosmic connection beyond Space and Time. It reminded her of when she would listen to the lullaby of Om in her bed, and feel that she was in the womb of the Universe, gently being rocked into peaceful slumber.
Lulled by the universe, for you can never be anything but the universe, Cat thanked Tree and walked slowly back home, remembering what another tree had told her on another occasion.
See the absence of Tree. Then you will see there is no tree, as there is no you.
